HP Scanjet 300
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just installed the update version of HP Printer and Scan Doctor version 5.0.0.082.

I use a HP Officejet 6100 printer and a HP Scanjet 300 scanner. When i start the Print and Scan Doctor it shows me only my printer as installed equipment and not the scanner. I re-started several times without any changes.

What could be the problem? No support anymore for this scanner by HPPSD?

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

Not sure if PSDR supports the scanner.

 

If you're looking to do some scanning, can you try this alternative Scan solution:

 

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Thanks for your reply. There is a small misunderstanding. HP Print and Scan Doctor is a programm that repairs a problem with my printer or scanner. When there is no communication between my PC and printer or PC an Scanner i start HPPSDR and it solves this communication problem.

 

I installed the HP Scan Extended and found out that this is an software programma for scanning documents and photo's and it does not solve a communication problem problem.  

 

HP Print and Scan Docter supported my printer and scanner before the last update. I think that HP scrapped the scanner from this programm.

Can you uninstall and reinstall the software for your scanner? (since Print and Scan Doctor is not working)
