HP photosmart 7520 fax: failed fax line condition test

HP Recommended
HP photosmart 7520
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

HP photosmart 7520 fax failed  only the "fax line condition test", indicating fax line has a weak signal.  Use AT&T bundle with a digital phone line.  AT&T checked the digital line and was OK.  Read a FAQ response stating a failed fax line condition test may be due to a digital line vs an analog line and a digital filter may be a solution.

Is there another solution in addition to the digital filter solution?

Thanks, UnitLeader 2

Hi UnitLeader2,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support forum with your faxing inquiry.

I understand that you have an HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer that is failing the fax line condition test, even though AT&T checked and said it was OK. I would like to help.

Here is a support document that discusses different phone line types and various setup options - Using an HP All-in-One or Fax Product on a PBX, ISDN, or DSL Phone System.

I am not sure if they do, but you could see if your provider offers a Voice over IP(VoIP) service. Here is a support document you can refer to - Faxing with VoIP Services.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
