Turn on printer, message use on button to turnprinter off to avoid damage, tried info from forum and this did not help.

AT times error code 0-60000f6 comes up. no paper jam in printer, cleaned as suggested. HELP

I understand that you are getting 0X610000F6 intermittently on your printer. 

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own. 

Are you facing any print quality issues on your printer?

Are you using genuine HP ink?

 

As you have mentioned having tried a lot of troubleshooting steps on your own. 

Request you refer to this HP Article and try the steps that you might have missed. 

If the issue persists, please connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable and update the firmware on the printer by downloading it from www.hp.com/drivers

If the issue persists, please contact our phone support for the service options available for your printer.

Followed the procedures again and did not miss a stept. Still a problem. Messages are ,1, General printer error: 0x610000f6.One time, add paper nad press OK , Next message, to avoid damages, use on button to turn off printer and press ok. Very confusing. This an old unit, no warrenty. Could this be a bad printhead?

It seems to be a hardware issue.

I request you to contact HP Phone support for further assistance on this.
