HP Office Jet Pro 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had this printer for 2 days and need to know how do I specify the DOCUMENT tray? Somehow I must have specified the PHOTO tray and now can't get back to the DOCUMENT tray ... keep getting the message to load paper, and the message that the  tray is empty. HELP!!!!!

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the load paper message on your Officejet Pro 8710.  I would suspect the tray may not be fully seated in the printer.  Note - the Officejet Pro 8710 does not have a photo tray.

Hi dumeisterinski,

I have experienced what Bob_Headrick mentioned where the printer keeps telling us that the tray is empty because the input tray is not fully pushed into the printer.

As there is only one tray, we do not need to specificy which tray is for document and photo. But when we push int the input tray, there should be a pop up asking whether we want to modify the paper size A4, Letter, 4x6 in., etc.) or type (plain paper, photo paper, specialty paper, etc.).

Best regards,
Nugi
