Solved!

Having problems printing with my HP Deskjet 9800

HP Recommended

I have Windows 7 Home Premium.  My HP Deskjet 9800 will not print in Adobe Pagemaker or Corel Paint Shop Pro.  It does print a test page and PDF documents.  I've tried just about everything and nothing seems to work.  I would appreciate any help you could give me.  Thanks, Patricia

Got it.thanks...

so we have already done the software part. let's fix the hardware:

Hard Reset – While printer is powered ON, pull

the power cord from the printer then from the

wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to

wall and printer. This will trigger a ‘dirty power

up’ and restore the printer to a known good

condition (if it is possible). No user settings

are lost with a ‘hard reset’.

This ‘Hard Reset’ is one of the most powerful

tools to use when the printer hardware is not

functioning properly!

I tried your suggestions and it still doesn't print.  Now when I go to the printers folder I have no tasks under the printer.  This is so frustrating!!  I can't even reinstall the printer software because my computer doesn't recognize the CD ROM!  Any other suggetions?  Thanks, Patricia

I retried everything you suggested.  Now I have the tasks again.  I was able to print from Adobe Pagemaker but tried to print one of my email messages and it wouldn't print and didn't come up in the queue!
