hp envy 7640 and Hp note book

I purchased an hp note book at office max and i had earlier purchased an hp envy 7640 . i was having at of trouble installing the printer i connected to a site that i believe came from the installation disk, i ended up at their suggestion signing up for a service that cost as much as my computer fo 10 years of protection .  did i get scamed? the printer i finally figured out where the problem was on my own and saw your notification about the bad guys. so now i am worried can you help me?

Unfortunately, we are seeing more and more reports of different HP Service scams surfacing recently, and we are powerless to do anything to prevent them, or help folks recover their money who were scammed.

 

You are free to call HP Customer Support to discuss this with them directly, but there is nothing we can do about this for you from here.
