Turn off the other wireless connection you are using on your iPad and then scan for the printer. Connect to it and then you will find it will print from the applications on the iPad. It is a bit of a workaround but viable.

Re: How do I get my hp wireless printer to print from my iPad?r

Hi Nwag,

Another option is to use the HP Home&Biz app.  With it, you can keep both the iPad and the printer on the same wireless network that they're currently using.  You can find more information about this app here.

If I have solved your issue, please feel free to provide kudos and make sure you mark this thread as solution provided!

@Michaelbroder, sorry, but your IPAD will not be able to print to the 4500. You will need a printer that has E-Printing feature.

@Michaelbroder,

Rudy1906 is right the Officejet 4500 doesn't support ePrint.  One could try the Hp ePrint app it would allow you to print from your IOS device.  Some of the more advanced function of the app would not be available for that printer.

@terrifictrisha

The Officejet  j6480 is not an ePrint capable printer.  That's why I suggested the ePrint mobile app to try some users are successful in using that app to print.

Let me know how it goes.
