How do I set up my printer?

HP Recommended
Deskjet F4235
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I just received a used Deskjet F4235 and I cannot get it to connect to my laptop. I have been trying for over a month. I have downloaded the driver and nothing is working. What can I do?
