Hi forbeschn,

 

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! Smiley Happy I understand you would like to scan to your computer from the front panel of your HP Deskjet 2645. First you must make sure the Scan to computer option is enabled. Follow the steps listed below:

 

1. Open up the HP Printer Assistant on your Desktop (DJ 2645 icon)

 

2. Once it opens under the Scan section, select Manage Scan to Computer

 

3. Make sure it is enabled and you have it set to Automatically start scan to computer

Open EDup the HP Printer Assistant on your Desktop (DJ 2645 icon)

 

2. Once it opens under the Scan section, select Manage Scan to Computer

 

Under Scan section on SCAN A document or photo comes

Not able do the next step 3

 

3. Make sure it is enabled and you have it set to Automatically start scan to computer
