Hi Kumar12463,

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Deskjet 3510 and needing to check ink levels. HP Print and Scan Doctor.

In this document choose this option to check the printer's ink levels and to view the cartridge details such as install dates, warranty dates, and serial numbers under review additional hardware functions.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

When I check ink levels on my 3510 deskjet printer using the little display screen on the printer itself, it shows that one of the cartridges is half used up.  How do I know if it is the color or the black cartridge???  On the screen it is the cartridge on the left side and has a circle under it.  The cartridge on the right side of the screen has a bow tie under it.  The screen is grey scale so I don't have any idea which one is low.  Can you tell me if I need to buy a color or a black cartridge to have on hand when it runs out???
