Hp 6500 Wireless Scan OCR

Has anyone been able to scan a text document and get an editable result?  I get a really good IMAGE that is not editable.

Have talked and emailed with HP tech.  Followed their advice to the letter .. over and over .. same result.    And yes, I know about those who do the same thing over and over and expect different results.

There has been a couple of instances in the conversations when they have said the I.R.I.S. program is a third party app and therefore not HP responsibility .. My feelings about that are not printable.  It has also been suggested that there is an "upgrade" available from I.R.I.S. and I imagine I will have to bite since I can't return the machine now.  I would like to know I have made every effort to get the results expected before that.

Any one ???   will really appreciate.  sorry to be so gripy, but I am disappointed ..

The image must be scanned at a minimum of 300 DPI and preferably saved as TIFF in order for the OCR to work effectively
