Hey @bearandme16,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I see that you are having some issues with printing to your Deskjet 2540 All-In-One Printer. I can help you with that.

  1. To start we'll do the following:
  2. Turn the printer and your tablet off.
  3. While the devices are powered off remove the power cord from the back of your router for one minute.
  4. When the light returns on the router, turn the printer and tablet back on.

Now we'll need to watch and see what the blue wireless light does on the printer. If it goes solid then the printer is connected to your wireless network and you should be able to print. If not then hold down the wireless button (looks like a radio tower) and the black copy (the black circle) buttons for about ten seconds and the printer should print out a couple of pages. On one of those pages you should find a section with some lines that read Pass or Fail at the end. Please let me know what lines say Fail and I will be able to assist you further.

Please let me know if this resolves your issues or if you have any other questions. Otherwise, have a great week!

Thank you very much for your advice.  I am moving home tomorrow, so will be without the internet for a couple of days.  However, I will certainly try what you have suggested when I have broadband, and let you know how I get on.  Thanks again:)
