When I purchased this printer, I was told I could change a scanned article (photo, artwork, document) say from the same size to smaller (25%, 50%, 100%) or larger in a similar manner. I see no way this can be done. Can it be done, and if so, how?
If the file is already scanned into your computer, you can print the file (photo, artwork, document) using Printing software on your computer -- some programs (like Paint) allow scaling so you can print the image as you wish. Windows Photo Viewer lets you choose from sizes and number of prints on a page. HP Photo Creationsprints single and multiple photos, collage, or matted photo prints.

Scanning documents / images
Scanning essentially copies the image / document on the printer glass (or ADF) into the computer at the size of that original image. Depending on the program used, some minor editing is supported including minor color changes and cropping.
Many programs are available that support scanning, most of which are supported in Windows 8 and up.

Copy can change the size of the image / document to a preset size (percentage of 100). Particulars vary by printer model -- Check / Adjust your Copy settings when printing and / or set the Copy preferences in the Embedded Web Server.
