How do I instruct my printer to re-do an ink cartridge alignment after the first attempt failed?

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve the alignment failure.  Note that for alignment to succeed both black and color (typically cyan) need to print properly.  The alignment needs to be completed shortly after the page is printed by loading the paper on the scanner glass and pressing OK.
