HP Officejet 5510 all-in-one
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello I am in need of assistance. I have a 5510 all in one. I think I am using windows 7. I had no problems printing until I changed my ink cartridge (black one). I can put the old one back in and it works but when I put the new one in and close the door it says... "Print cartridge error. See the product documentation for details."... I tried to clean off the contacts with a cloth like it said in the manual online but that didnt help. Any suggestions? Thank you 🙂

@sabrinaneedhelp,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are getting print cartridge error message on your HP Officejet 5510 All-in-One Printer after installing a new black cartridge.

This issue could occur if the electrical contacts on the printer or the cartridge are not clean or defective.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Print Cartridge Errors

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.
