Just bought printer. The ink carriage will not move to the farthest left side

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post. 

 

I understand that the carriage is not moving correctly on your printer. 

Not to worry, I will be glad to help. 

Have you removed all the packaging materials inside the printer?

Have you closed the carriage access door after installing the cartridges?

Are you using a surge protector to connect the printer? (If so, please disconnect it connect the printer to a wall outlet directly.)

After you installed the cartridges, did the alignment complete?

 

Request you the troubleshooting steps suggested in this HP Article to overcome carriage issues. 

Once you install cartridges, the alignment of the printer should be completed. Please refer to step 2 in this HP Article for assistance. 

 

Please try the suggested steps and let me know how it goes.
