Funny thing - I have this 4-5 year old LaserJet multi-function printer / scanner, little used and works fine.
Recently I bought a new computer running Windows 7 64 bit.
Downloaded printer software from HP's website, different sorts:
2009-10-11 , Version:20080808, 14.16M
ljM1120-hb-pnp-win64-sv.exe [1/1, 14.16M]
2009-10-21 , Version:4.0, 253.13M
LJM1120-Full-Solution.exe [1/1, 253.13M]
None of them works. They will download all right but installation is interrupted.
So instead, I let windows search for software I get the message
There is no software for HP Scan
There is no software for HP LaserJet M1120 MFP
All ye specialist out there: If anyone has a clue how to handle this, please let me know!
And, please HP: Surely I must be able to continue using an expensive and otherwise excellent 5 year old HP product?

Could you provide the community with a little more information to help narrow troubleshooting? What errors do we get when the installation is interrupted?

Thank you for picking up this little mystery...and excellent to see somebody associated with HP giving it a try, even though I understand you do this privately, it gives me hope!
I write the messages down - they are in Swedish so I include a little translation
First, when trying the smaller file it says:
Printer Software Installer (window headline)
Printer Software har slutat fungera
Du kan söka en online efter en lösning på problemet
-> sök en lösning online
-> stäng programmet
(Meaning, more or less:
Printer Software has stopped working
You can look for a solution on line.)
Then the bigger Full Solution:
HP LaserJet M1120 MFP Series (window headline)
Installationsprogrammet stöds inte av operativsystemet eller så fyller
inte systemet minimumkraven för att installera det här programmet.
Mer information finns i produktspecifikationerna.
And the translation:
The installation software is not supported by the OS or the system
does not fulfill the minimum requirements for installing this software.
There is more information in the product specifications.
This is how far I get, after a few hours of attempts...
