Hi @ikendrick79,

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues the printer asking for a password. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you correctly, I would require more information regarding this:

  • Did you change the router or the network recently?
  • Did try restoring the printer to factory defaults?

For now please try these steps:

Perform factory defaults on the printer from this user guide: http://hp.care/2usDcMA and refer to page 41 on how to do it.

  • Then run the wireless setup wizard to try and correct the issue. Please follow this guided troubleshooter http://hp.care/2fSUQ7e  to do this. Then check if it corrected.

If the issue continues, try these steps:

If the issue continues, I will send you a private message on how to perform a super NVRAM reset. Please keep checking your forum private messages.

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂

I changed to a new router and need to connect to the new network but I cannot remember my password for the printer listed above. How do I do this?
