I understand that it is your job to ask me to do all these tests and respond to you with my results. I would be doing all the work?? And more of my time is being used. HP is a well to do company! Why doesn’t HP do the test themselves and then post the results. HP has the employees that HP pays for their time let them do the work.

Many updates are being installed on all of our computers. The site has 6 identical computers. Java, Adobe, Microsoft, Antivirus and HP updates are done almost on daily bases. I removed the antivirus program to see if that was the cause but it was not. Like I said I installed the printer on another computer that is identical to the original computer (hardware and software) and the problem went away.

Hi AlAdvantage,
I have been unable to reproduce the issue you are seeing. I need you to uninstall the printer and reinstall it to see if you continue to have the issue. Let me know what you find out?

Hi AlAdvantage,
If you have uninstalled, and get the same issue on this computer, but not on other computers then there is something within the operating system on the computer which is contributing to the issue. I would suggest backing up your data, and run a factory restore on this computer. I wish I had a better resolution at this point, but I am unable to reproduce the issue on my side. Let me know if you are willing to run a restore on the computer to see if this resolves the issue?

Please do not write any posts on this subject. Either you did not read or do not understand. Do you have a guarantee that this error will not come up again.
Please do not write a response on this subject. I am waiting for a non HP tech. that had this problem and was able to fix it.

I don't think that running a factory restore is an acceptable solution to this problem, it will create too much down time for my user. Since this error is occurring from the system tray, can't we just disable/remove it in some way and use only the basic printer driver to print?

Hi
Have you tried installing the basic driver, and the basic driver update to see if you have the same issue?
Let me know if you have the same issue using the basic driver. Can you also provide me a screenshot of the error message you are receiving?

Depressing to find this string - AND no solution yet. This error appeared a few days after install, have uninstalled, reinstalled. Below is the problem information, it is running on Windows XP. Everyday when I start the computer up the error message hangs on the screen, choosing look online for a solution does nothing. Perhaps if an HPTech reads this - then a solution might be found?
