Hi @ncm1,

 

Thanks for getting back to me. 

 

I recommend performing the cleaning on the paper rollers multiple times, to see if it will get the paper moving.

 

Ensure that you're using the correct paper size and type and that you're not overloading the paper tray,

 

Paper handling- Manual

 

Paper handling input, standard

  • 150-sheet input tray

Paper handling output, standard

  • 50-sheet face-down bin

Maximum output capacity (sheets) Up to 50 sheets Duplex printing

  • Manual (driver support provided)

Finished output handling

  • Sheetfed

Media sizes supported

  • Letter, legal, executive, 4 x 6 in, 5 x 8 in, 8.5 x 13 in, envelopes (No. 10, Monarch)

Media sizes, custom 3 x 5 to 8.5 x 14 in Media sizes, custom 76 x 127 to 216 x 356 mm Media types Paper (bond, brochure, colored, glossy, letterhead, photo, plain, preprinted, prepunched, recycled, rough), postcards, transparencies, labels, envelopes Media weight, supported 16 to 58 lb (bond) Media weights, supported ADF 16 to 24 lb

 

 

If the issue persist, contact HP.

 

Contacting HP for service in all countries/regions except Asia Pacific.
First, go to Check your product warranty to check your printer warranty status, and then go to Contact HP Support to find an authorized service dealer or to schedule a repair.
Repair fees might apply for out-of-warranty printers.
What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.

Hi @ncm1,

 

I understand you're unable to print due a paper jam and now the printer will not feed paper correctly. I would be happy to look into this with you.

 

Was the jam in the document feeder (ADF) or the paper tray?

Hi Drakster, its the paper tray. I have made sure there is no broken off bits of paper in the printer and it still says load paper. i have tried a small amount of paper and large to no avail. any other tips or hints?? thanks
