Magenta streaks on printed pages

HP Recommended
HP Color Laserjet MFP M476dw

When I print pages, there is a pink bar on the left-hand side of each paper. First I selected "Clean printer" and it cleaned itself, but this did not make the pink streaks go away when I printed again. Next, I opened the back door of the printer and wiped off the foam rolling bar, which had the magenta toner smeared on it. After I cleaned it off completely, the printer printed cleanly for a little while, then went back to having pink smeared bars on the left-hand side again. I removed the magenta toner cartridge to look for a leak, but could find nothing wrong.

What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Thank you,
