My HP Officejet 4500 G510 Wireless All In One

Operating System is Windows 7 Home Premium.  We have had the product for one year.

The machine won't make copies.  All the other functions work fine.  This is a new problem and we have not made any changes.

Help.

The unplugging did not make a difference.  However, we changed the black cartridge, again, and now we have copies.

Thank you for your suggestion and if we have this problem again, we certainly will try your suggestion again.

There might be something in the printer that's stopping the copy function.  Try doing a hard reset to clear the glitch from the firmware.

To do a hard reset:

  1. Make sure the printer is on.
  2. Pull the power cord from the back.
  3. Pull the power cord from the wall.
  4. Wait 30 seconds.
  5. Plug the printer back in and trun it on.

Let me know what happens.
