I recently had to buy a new usb cable for my printer to my pc as the old one broke. With this new cable, the printer wont connect to the pc and the printer will now not scan anything, i assume due to the lack of connection. Any help? Is it the new cable?

Uninstall and reinstall the HP driver and software.
