No 'copy' function

HP Recommended
Officejet Pro 6830
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

This is a replacement (2-3 weeks ago) due to printhead error on my previous 6835.  The 'copy' function does not work after several attempts.

Try Restoring Copy Settings:

Control Panel -> Copy Menu -> Copy Settings -> Restore Settings.

Hello,

May i know if there is any error message displayed on the printer display while you make a COPY ?

Meanwhile try the below steps...

While the printer is ON, unplug the power cord from back of the printer.

Wait for 30 seconds.

Plug in the power cord to back of the printer. If printer does not power on, then press the ON button to do so.

Now try making a COPY.

Note: Ensure none of the ink cartridges are empty, else the COPY would not work.

Regards,
Jabzi

Seems like an ink system related issue. Try these:

Hello,

Please try the below steps ..

- On the printer panel, touch on SETUP ( wrench icon / gear icon ),

- touch on TOOLS

- touch Printer Status Report.

The printer should print a Printer Status Report. Check for the presence of Black. If no Black is printed, try the below steps...

- On the printer panel, touch on SETUP ( wrench icon / gear icon ),

- touch on TOOLS > Clean Printhead

The printer should print a  Report. Check for the presence of Black. If no Black is printed its time you call HP Tech Support for further assistance. I suspect an issue with the printhead.

If you are in USA, call 1-800-474-6836

Regards,
Jabzi
