Non-working new print heads from HP stocked items

Moved house in December 2012 and left printer in original HP packaging, stored away until recently unpacked.

 

Printer did not work straight away  so used maintenance to find reason. Diagnostics Reported "one or both Printer heads not working"

 

Have just tried to recommission same stored printer with  brand new sealed printer cartridges taken from held over stock dated 2012 with no joy as yet?

 

Don't know what to do next as NEW cartridges are far too expensive to throw away if unused.

 

Any ideas how to overcome issues would be welcomed.

Yes, your 5 years old cartridges have dried out.  Please replace with brand new HP cartridges to see if that resolves your issue.
