Hi @Mariusk,

Thanks for visiting the HP community. A very Good Day to you. 🙂 Hope you are doing well. 🙂  I understand that you need assistance regarding not printing in black on 2 printers. I’ll be delighted to assist you with this.

You are a valued HP customer and we appreciate you greatly for doing business with HP. I have reviewed the situation and it is paramount that we address your issue. Remarkable diagnosis of the issue. Kudos to you for that. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.

  • Have you tried to make copies in black directly from the printers without any communication from the computer?
  • Did you bypass power strips and connect the printer directly to the wall outlet?
  • Did it begin after a software or windows update? Do you remember?

Two printers not printing in black suggest that the issue could be with the computer rather than these 2 printers.
  • One way of isolating the issue is to install the printer software on a different computer and check if it prints in black correctly if it is possible. Then you make need to reinstall the operating system on the original computer and install the printer drivers.

For a start please try these steps:

Please make a few copies in black directly from both printers.

If they copy fine, then the issue could be software related.

If it copies fine, then uninstall the printer drivers by following these steps:

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  •   Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.

Then please install the latest printer drivers for from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-3830-all-in-one-printer-series/7172321... Please ensure to change the operating system to the correct one.

Then install the drivers for HP 4615 from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-ink-advantage-4610-all-in-one-printer-se... and select the correct operating system before installing it.

Please keep me posted. I will keep a watch for your reply. Please perform all the steps diligently and patiently as this should do the trick for you.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂  Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.  🙂

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. 🙂

If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.  🙂

Take care now and have a splendid week ahead.
