HP Office Jet Pro 8720
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I just purchased the Jet Pro 8720 I've installed it fine but I'm having trouble connecting my Cannon camera in order to print photos.  I'm getting error message"This device not supported thru this connection, disconnect device."  Any suggestions on how to get my camera to be recognized by the printer would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey there! @Shelly00

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!

I understand you have issues connecting your printer directly to printer, you are getting error Not supported thru this connection.

Don't  worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

You cannot directly connect your camera to the printer and start printing. It is not supported.

If you want to print the contents from the camera you have to connect your camera to your PC and try printing.

Also, you can put the contents of your Camera to a USB flash drive and connect it to your printer and try printing.

Hope this answers your query!

Cheers! 🙂
