Re: OS X 10.9 Mavericks - Incorrect output using HP Scan application

Realized after a few downloads that I couldn't use them anyway. So, I just bought the newest version - not very expensive and I don't expect it to really help, but I might as well get it anyway. Thanks for helping.

Re: OS X 10.9 Mavericks - Incorrect output using HP Scan application

Hi,

I have a HP Photosmart 5520 all-in-one printer. I have 2 operating systems on my computer: OS X 10.9 Mavericks and Windows 7. The printer is wireless connected to my router. The printer works correctly under Windows 7 but under Mavericks I can not scan from the scanner to the computer (it says: computer not found). What can I do so the scanner finds my computer?

Re: OS X 10.9 Mavericks - Incorrect output using HP Scan application

JohnathanW, they got the update for my printer going today.  I downloaded it earlier and it didn't work, but they then added the raw camera update also with the scanner update and it worked once I restarted the computer.  Keep checking everyone.  The updates do work.

Please don't forget the scanners! My Scanjet G4050 is very important in my research lab.

Re: OS X 10.9 Mavericks - Incorrect output using HP Scan application

This workaround does not work for me, as I have a stand-alone Scanner, Scanjet 4890, not an all-in-one.

Re: OS X 10.9 Mavericks - Incorrect output using HP Scan application

To Guus 1949 - HP Photosmart 5520

HP has provided new OS X 10.9 software available from hp.com/support and this link.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4159&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5157...

Download and install this new software.  After install, open the HP Utility (Applications/Hewlett Packard folder) to configure for scan to computer scan flow that you want

This is great for the 5520 printer folks.

Any word on when we will see the new drivers for the C8180 people???
