Why does my Office Jet Pro 6975 keep going offline? My previous HP Widecarriage 7500 never did that.

Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums

I understand that you are looking for a solution to fix the Printer going offline problem in your printer

For this you have to disable the Power saving settings of the printer

Or you can also download the latest firmware of the printer

What you will want to do is make sure the printer is fully updated with the most current firmware follow the steps below.

  1. Openhttp://support.hp.com/
  2. Enter your printer model in the "Locate your poduct to get support"
  3. SelectDrivers, and then select your operating system
  4. Click onFimware, and then download the firmware
  5. Once it has been downloaded you will then need to run the file to update the printer.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting the issue.

If you encounter any printing issues like, printer is offline, no printing, print job disappear, no printer found, scan issues etc,

you can download the HP Print Scan doctor from HP website. It will diagnose and fix the problem for you.
