HP OfficeJet Pro 8720
macOS 10.12 Sierra

Hi,

We have purchased 2.off printers HP OfficeJet Pro 8720, both of the used with Macbook laptops and both of them are giving us the same problem.

When printing, first page will in 75% cases come out duplicated on the same paper. First page is not clear.

Imagine printing for the first time, and then traying to print the same thing again on the same paper. That is how print-out looks like.

We have tried to delete the printer on the laptop and installing it again, but we are still experiencing the same problem.

What should we do?

Thank you in advance.

Greetings @enea721

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are facing a print quality issue with your printer when printing from MAC. The printout looks like it is duplicated.

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Have performed an alignment on the printer?

Do you face the issue when you try to make a copy on your printer?

Recommend you connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable and update the firmware on the printer. Click here to download the firmware update.

Please refer to page number 127 (Step 5) in the printer manual for the procedure to perform an alignment on the printer using the printer software on your MAC. Click here for the printer manual.

Try to print a document and check the print quality.

If the issue persists, please uninstall the printer software by following the procedure mentioned in this HP Article. (Please have the printer off during the uninstall process.)

Reset the printing system as mentioned in this HP Article

Restart your MAC.

Download the latest full feature software from www.hp.com/drivers or click here

Please follow the above procedure to resolve the issue you are facing.

Let me know if this helped.
