Engineering never called me. When I called them back they said they called me and left voice messages. BS!

Another hour spent with tech support. Now my printer never misses a ping but the web services don't work.

So this guy disabled the web services and reinstalled the printer.

It looks now like if there was a conflict between the web services and the Wi-Fi.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post serial numbers and case details.

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, this post has instructions.

Thank you,

After more than 30 hours spent trying to trouble shoot this and after 4 printers and many calls from tech support and case managers I just swapped the OfficeJet Pro 8740 for an  HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477nw and the network works fine. (This has been the most expensive fu**ing printer in my life)

HP was lucky that Espon printers are horrible!

You guys really have a problem with this printer. You are like drug-addicts: you won’t be able to fix the problem until you accept it. You may ask some advice to the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M477nw team about how to develop or implement their network card on the OfficeJet Pro 8740.

If you want serials and all the case history please refer to case number 3031317571
