Officejet 6500 Printing problem

When I print from the flat bed - no problem.

When I print from the feeder, two parallel black ink lines, running the  length of the paper, 13/16" and 1 1/4" from the right margin appear.

In previous HP printer models, when I experienced this problem, I was able to resolve it by cleaning a glass surface with alcohol. I do not see a corresponding surface to clean on this model.

Any solutions?
