We purchased a 6830 a while back. The printer head failed and HP provided a replacement. Now the scanner doesn't work. What are my options?
When I put in the the system indicates that the warrenty expired in Nov 2016. We received this as a replacement printer in January this year.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you getting issue with scanner on HP Officejet 6830 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,
- Are you getting any error message on the printer?
- Open the printer lid and initiate scan and check if the scanner light is lit up and moving across the screen.
Meanwhile:
Perform hard reset on the printer.
- Remove the power cable from the printer when it is turned on.
- Press and hold the power button for 30secs.
- Connect the power cable to the printer and directly to the wall outlet.
- Turn on the printer.
Let me know if that works.
Cheers.

Sandy
The message says:
Scanner Problem
Turn the printer off, then turn it on againg
The the probelm persists, the scanner has become dammaged and cannot copy or scan.
I have tried this a few times with no success.
I tried the steps you outlined. When the printer was turned on the scanner bar moved but there was no light. Then the same error message came up.
Please advise.
