@Riddle_Decipher:

I have had to deal with this for over a year.  While I like this printer generally, the problem of cutting off graphics is a BIG pain in the neck.  I don't understand why HP hasn't offered an updated driver that fixes the problem.  I was about to install the driver you suggested, but when I read that I would have to give up automatic two sided printing, I stopped the install.  This is crazy!  I'm sorry but that is just unacceptable.  I really appreciate that at least you've tried to solve the problem.  But really, HP needs to be responsible and just FIX THIS.  I've had to turn all of my graphics filled word docs into jpegs and print from a different program.

I don't know what's more of a bother.  Having to turn everything into jpegs or having to manually print on the other side of the paper.  And who's gonna refund my ink use when I print the wrong thing on page 2, 4 and 6?  I haven't said anything during this latest conversation, but I am truly ticked off about this.

@jf00001
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums,

I understand this could be frustrating, however, this is the only available workaround to help you get the printer working in case of an urgent requirement.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

They will contact you shortly and likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number.

Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (such as serial numbers and case details).

I hope you have a good day,

Regards,

Thank you for your reply Riddle_Decipher.  I did have a tech take over my computer twice for this problem.  He claimed it was a microsoft problem.  (Another poster also had this experience)  One tech was very strange, and when he was unable to fix the issue, would not answer my questions as I chatted with him, and actually ERASED what I was writing (since he had control of my computer) and closed the chat before I could save it.  I was stunned, and left without any proof of what had just happened.  Sooo, please forgive me if I don't have too much faith in the assigned Team.

i have a brand new HP color laser jet pro M452dw. when i put a picture in a word doc using snippet (and some clip art), it enlarges the picture and cuts off the bottom and right side when printing.

i've tried to find a setting that preserves the image but can't find it.

The only way I've been able to workaround the problem, is to save the document as a pdf or jpeg.  It's dumb dumb dumb.

My new HP 8725 cuts off pictures on 2 sides that I am trying to print from file. These are often jpegs of our logo or other often used pictures. How do we correct this so that 100% of the picture prints, as it did with our past printers.

Thank you

I've been dealing with this problem since I got the printer.  The only work around I've been able to use is to save each file as a pdf, THEN print it.

HP really should refund us!

The problem has not been fixed in April, 2017 on a new OJet Pro 6968 which uses the 6960 driver, on Windows 7. Resetting the Windows display to 100% fixes it, but my 78 yr old eyes object.

I just replaced my printer at work with an OfficeJet 3830 and have run into the same problem.

What is really frustrating is that some images in a Word doc will print correctly but other images will enlarge & crop the edges,  all within the same document.

Like others I found saving the doc as a pdf will work around the problem. But that means I would need to save the same doc in two formats just so I have one I can easily edit & manipulate.

On Monday I'll need to check/adjust the display's resolution settings & see if that will correct the problem.

But since this seems to be an ongoing problem of several years HP really needs to get their act together to fix this. The display settings SHOULD NOT have any affect on whether or not an image in a Word doc prints correctly.
