hp deskjet 2541 all in one
Windows

I can't conect my HP Deskjet 2541 all-in-one to my tablet surface. Is it a problem that it has windows RT 8? My surface can find the printer, but then, when I try to set it up, it ask me for a printer password? HELP!!!!! I can not believe how difficult could be to set up a wireless printer!

Hi,

You may locate the Wireless Direct password by clicking the Wireless Direct button () for 3 seconds, a Wireless Direct report will be printed, including the password.

If you have a router, connect to the printer first and then browse to http://192.168.223.1

Open the Network tab and follow the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer to your router,  then reconnect your tablet to your wireless router.

You may find the steps to use your printer on RT below:

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that the wireless button is blinking on HP Deskjet 2541 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

  • Wait for the printer to establish a connection.
  • Check for issues with the wireless network.
  • Connect the printer to your network.

Click here and follow the steps mentioned in the second link in the document

Let me know if that works.

Cheers.
