Hello, @ALANLEV – Hope you are well 🙂

Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!

I understand that you are facing issues while trying to do photo printing on your Envy 5530. Let's first try and fix the issue while printing from the PC. To fix this issue, you need to install the printer drivers and then change the printing preference on the printer properties. Follow the steps below:

  • Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Envy printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Now click on http://hp.care/2pyBTuH to download and install the printer drivers.
  • Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

Now, change the printing preference as suggested below:

  1. Go to Control panel – Devices and printers.
  2. Right-click on Envy 4522 and select “Printing preferences”.
  3. Now, go to print quality / layout table and select the appropriate paper type and size and save the settings.
  4. Go to the image that you would like to print, right-click and open the image in "Windows photo viewer".
  5. Make sure to select the paper size and the paper type in the program and then try printing.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂
