I bought my HP Photosmart 7515 All-in-One (Print / eFax / Scan / Copy / Web) when it first came out - honestly can't remember. I use a 2008-MacBook Pro and 2009-27" iMac desktop computer. Originally, the 7515 worked wonderfully. I updated my computer OS to 10.8 and it continued to work. I recently (2 months ago) updated my OS to 10.9 (newest Mac OS) on both the desktop and laptop devices. The 7515 will not work with either device anymore over the network. I updated all the drivers and software I can find via Apple's software as well as through the HP website.
After a lot of work, I finally was able to get the desktop to print and scan using the 7515 but ONLY via direct USB connection. Today, I downloaded the newest printer software compatible with the 7515 All-in-One (HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.44) This allows me to print to the printer wirelessly on my laptop. However, I cannot scan to the device.
I'm starting to get tired of this poor compatibility. If I can't regain functionality of a perfectly good (practically looks and functions like its new in box) device ... then I'm going to leave HP.
Please help. Thank you for your suggestions in advance.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues scanning with your Photosmart 7515 since upgrading to Mavericks.
You indicated that you downloaded and installed the full feature driver for your printer and Mavericks. I've checked and the full feature driver for your printer is different from the one you gave; you gave HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.44.dmg and HP's website shows the driver download as HP-Inkjet-SW-OSX-Mavericks_v12.34.38.dmg. I've included the link to the correct Mavericks download.
Please install the proper driver to see if that corrects the scanning issue.
