HP Recommended

My Photosmart 7520, worked through WiFi from my iMac, prints ok but has stopped scanning. Don't know if this results from my having in recent weeks reset the printer and downloaded and installed first the latest driver from the HP site, then the one from HP Printer Drivers v5.0 for OS X on thre Apple site - all on the advice of two HP agents on Support Forum in vain attempts to deal with the problem that the 7520 had stopped printing images from the net in black and white despite the setting chosen - or from having subsequently upgraded from El Capitan to macOSSierra. Either way, I'd be grateful for advice.
