Solved!

Photosmart 7520 color borders

HP Recommended

My Photoshop 7520 was able to print 4 x 6 photos on 5 x 7 paper with various color borders and designs a year ago.  Those options are no longer available even using the latest printer driver.  Can the current driver do what was possible a yesr ago?

I do not know what you were using a year ago to affect this kind of design.

I do believe the following free HP software can do what you seek:

HP Photo Creations

Once you have the software installed,

This appears to address the problem and I will use the application to print color borders the way I could a year ago.  Thanks for your response.  However, I was able to print color borders previously, without this application, from the basic printer driver.  I wonder if it's due to the upgrade of the Mac operating system.

Looper,

You know, I do not speak the Apple so I could only guess.  :generic:

Commentary

We all hate it when things are improved and our favorite programs and features are lost.  Part of the problem is that we never see Why we lose our favorites.  I suspect "the old code no longer works in the new environment" is the usual culprit.  It costs a LOT of money to rewrite old code.  Better to write new, cool code than pay programmers to sit around rewriting the old stuff.  Smiling.

I am glad it resolved the issue -- even if it is not the cool, old way.

Happy Printing!

Hi Looper.

The matted prints project in HP Photo Creations will apply a colorful border around your photo. We include a number of designer colors and styles (flat, bevel, museum mount).
