Product: Deskjet 3635
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

 

I have a message from my printer :  my new cartrige is not compatible with my printer model.

My new carrige is a HP 652 black

My old one is a HP 302 black

On the HP 652 packaging, model 3635 is listed

 

What is the problem ?

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

 

I understand that you have replaced the cartridge on your printer and you are getting an incompatible cartridge message on your printer. 

Have you checked the printer specifications of your printer?

I will be glad to assist you.

 

Please click here for the printer specifications of your printer. 

Please go through the ink cartridges section of the printer specifications.

If the printer came with 302 cartridges then the printer will only accept 302 ink cartridge. 

Other cartridges will not work on the printer.

I have bought some 652 cartridges, because i have seen Deskjet 3635 compatibility on the packaging. 

Now I m disapointed because i understand than compatibility informations are misleading.

I m french, ( sorry for my english) and I can't imagine that the mention "ink avantage" mean "no compatibility with some deskjet 3635". I have'nt see any warning on that point, it's a little bit deceptive.

Thanks for the reply, recommend you to contact the store where you purchased the cartridges and check if they can replace the cartridges.
