I tried to stop the print spooler, went to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS to delete the document there but that folder is empty so nothing to delete.  I even downloaded  HP Print and Scan Doctor but that didn't seem to work.  Not to mention how many times I retsatred the PC and the printer...any ideas?

Hi @sallyUK , and thanks for getting back to me!

I appreciate you providing that info!

First, I'd recommend restarting the print spooler, the instructions to which I've included below:

Troubleshoot printer problems

If that doesn't resolve the issue, I'd recommend the following:

First, I'd suggest Uninstalling the Printer Software.

Once it is uninstalled, I would suggest putting your system into clean boot mode within the Microsoft configuration.  You can do so by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest reinstalling the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Please let me know how that goes!

Hi @sallyUK , and welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you're having issues deleting jobs from the print queue.  I'd like to help!

Before we get started I do need a little information first. I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find your product number. Also, please include which version of the operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit.

Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

Please let me know.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

Hi Jamieson

Thanks for attempting to help me as I am still stuck with that printing job that won't delete.

In answer to your questions, I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64-bit operating system.  Hope that helps?
