Envy 4500

Printer won't copy.

Prints from computer but will not make a copy.

I hit "copy" then hit "start black copy" and nothing happens.

Whole printer freezes.  Won't cancel, won't shut down.  Need to unplug to reset.  Still does same thing.

@PJEP

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that your HP Envy 4500 printer does not copy. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • When did this issue start?
  • Open the printer lid, initiate copy and check if the scanner light is lit up and moving across the scanner glass.

Meanwhile:

Reset the printer.

  • Remove the power cable from the printer when it is turned on.
  • Press and hold the power button for 60secs.
  • Connect the power cable directly to the wall outlet and printer.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
