Printhead error

HP Recommended
HP OfficejetPro 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I replaced the ink cartridges and received the following error message: " The printhead appears to be missing not detected or incorrectly installed."  After several attempts to install and reinstall the cartridges the error is still present.  What should I do to fix the problem?  Thanks

Ihave the same problem and after doing all the recommended recovery steps  no solution.My question is it worth it to repair or better buy new printer And which printer is closer to what i have. Thank you for  you advice.

The Officejet Pro 8600 printhead replacement will cost about what a new printer would cost.

 

If you are looking at a replacement printer the Officejet Pro 8710 is similar in features to the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.  This is like the Officejet Pro 8600, but also includes the ability to scan two sided documents automatically.

Thanks for the reply. Today I received the new printer 8710. Now I'm trying to do the installation. If I have any problems I will post. Thanks again
