HP Recommended

Go into print, then go to select the printer. You will notice that there is an HP officejet pro that comes up in the list as connected, but that is the wrong printer. Go into the list of other printers you can select and select the 1510 series. There seems to be a default in the program to display the wrong type of printer as the one connected. 

If you simply switch to the HP 1510, it will start printing. 

Just got this printer from a friend for free because they tried all of the steps and eventually just gave up on the printer. I fixed it within an hour. None of the suggested steps work, you just need to select the right printer, and HP needs to rewrite the software for this printer so it doesn't offer the wrong one in the list.
