I had the same problem after a Windows 10 Update and an update of HP Printer software (not sure which was the culprit).  I used the HP repair tool.  It allowed a local print, but not a regular print, so it said to reinstall software.  I did that three times.  I tried booting into safe mode, adding another user, disabling firewall, deleting spooler files,... .  It all led to an apparent good print, but nothing happening to the printer.  It printed fine from another printer.  After about 4 hours of this I read this post.  Changed to the Officjet Pro 8600 Class driver and it worked right away.  All of my features seem to be fine at first glance (two-sided pring, color options, ...).  Thanks for the great advice!

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to print from your computer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

  • Delete job files and restart.
  • Use HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • Reinstall the print driver.
  • Temporarily disable your firewall software
  • Log into Windows using another account.

Click here and follow the steps mentioned in the document to perform above mentioned steps.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.
