When I went to suggested site, still says there are no drivers for my Phototsmart Premium c309g printer! I have tried this over and over and w/no luck. Brings me to driver site but no live link or option to download anything. Printer was working fine and after adding new HP ink cartridges to help w/printing (thought that was problem,even tho printer screen showed them as being half full), printing got worse. Is it just that printer is too old to download new drivers for it???

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are having issues with the printer driver on your Mac computer.

 

Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.

 

Please download the driver from the below link and installs it.

After the driver is installed, perform the below steps.

 

1.) From System Preferences, click on Print & Scan.

2.) Click the Plus sign.

3.) Select the listed HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer - C309g.

4.) Click the drop-down menu next to Use or Print Using and click on Select Printer Software.

5.) Select the HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer - C309g from the list.

6.) Click OK to confirm your selection and add the printer, then try printing using the configured print queue.

7.) Use HP Easy scan for scanning.
