My 12 month old printer displays "Ready2Download" fw is corrupt and does not work at all. Power off does not solve the problem. What can I do to fix this

@JanM283,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you get an error message "Ready to Download" firmware is corrupt on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw.

This issue could occur if the firmware has been erased and needs to be reflashed.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link to update the firmware: Firmware Update Utility

Note: You need to connect your printer to the computer by USB cable only and then update the firmware.

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

The problem has now changed to a situation whereby the touchscreen is white at startup and remains that way. Nothing I can do. I tried to upolad the firmware through a USB cable. The upload ends with a smiley but nothing actually happens or changes on the printer
