HP OfficeJet 4650
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have had an HP 4650 for almost 3 months now and still can not scan or copy anything.  When I try to copy, all that prints is an entire page of black lines prints, hence wasting a bunch of ink.  When I try to scan, the screen image shows the scan is the same as the copy; a page of black lines.  Printing works fine.  I have used the HP doctor and it says that all is fine, but when I do a test scan, i still get the page of black lines.  HELP!  I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software.  I have tried it via USB and also via wireless with the same results.   I'm sick of wasting time on this problem.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

Seems from your description of scan and copy (having the same results) that the scanner is defective.

Please contact HP for a replacement.

Hope that helps!
