I see you well know 400 series. We would continue scan to \\srvbhq02\Users\PavMai\Scans as we normally do from all our HP standard MFP printers (M425, M475, M575, M577, M775, etc.) until now. Recently bought model M477 doesn't want to scan into longer path than \\server IP\shared folder. Bigger M577 works normally so it must be something inside of M477 logic. I already discussed this issue with Czech R. support but they told me to communicate with HP support directly to fix it.

We tried to update FW on M477 to latest version but not success. We have enterprise policy to use HP printers only and we have not seen such behaviour (M477) yet. We must use IP instead of DNS name and longer path doesn’t work. When we use longer path than \\server IP\shared folder then testing on the printer says: Path to the folder is not valid. Verify if the following folder exists. Of course it's valid and exist because it works on other models. 🙂

Could you please help us to resolve such unexpected behaviour of M477? We would like to really continue buying 400 series as successor of retired/previous 400 series.

Many thanks in advance.
