Scanning problem with Officejet Pro 8600 Premium, Windows 7 Professional

When scanning an 8.5 x 11 page and saving to PDF on my computer, the entire page does not show up.  Is there some setting I skipped when setting up?  This is my first time scanning on this printer.....

Thanks for the answer.  I actually turned the Windows Firewall off first, then back on and now it seems to scan okay to PDF.  I really need to be able to scan to PDF, not just to JPEG.  Scanner seems to be working okay now, maybe it was just a quirk yesterday....

Try to scan using the option JPG Image: Save to JPEG to check if the scanner is working OK.

And then use the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Officejet  to repair the scanner functions.
